Product on the sealing surface can interrupt the bond or create an intermittent fault that looks like a power-setting problem. The filling and capping stages should control splashing, foam, powder dust, strings, droplets and cap/liner handling before the pack reaches the induction field.

Questions that determine whether an induction sealing application is practical
Can induction sealing be used for heat-sensitive products?
Potentially, because the induction field is intended to heat the conductive foil rather than the complete contents, but suitability must be proven with filled packs. Heat can transfer into the liner, cap, container mouth and product near the neck. Fill level, exposure, cooling and product behaviour therefore matter. Does fill level affect induction sealing trials?
Yes, fill level can change heat transfer, headspace conditions, pack stability and the likelihood of product reaching the rim. Trial samples should represent the intended production fill rather than using only empty containers. Where several fill levels are sold in the same pack, include the credible boundary conditions in the sample plan and use the same cooling interval before evaluating the seal.
What happens if product is present on the container rim?
Product on the sealing surface can interrupt the bond between the liner's heat-seal layer and the container mouth. Raising power is not a reliable correction for contamination because the problem is contact and compatibility, not simply energy. Review filling accuracy, foaming, drips, bottle handling and cap application so the rim reaches the sealer clean and consistently presented.
Can contract packers use one induction sealer for several customer formats?
Yes, when the total format envelope is within the machine and head capability and each pack has a controlled setup.
